Family counselling
Calmer homes, stronger connections
When one person in a family is struggling, everyone feels it. Family counselling brings people together to understand each other, ease the tension, and find better ways through hard times.
Families often reach out about…
- Frequent conflict or tension at home
- Separation, divorce or blended-family changes
- Grief and loss in the family
- Supporting a family member through anxiety, depression or substance use
- Communication between parents and teens
- Child Protection Services (CPS) involvement and family reunification
- Big changes like a move, a new baby, or an illness
Parenting support
Parenting is one of the hardest jobs there is. I also work with parents and caregivers on their own, to talk through challenges, understand what’s behind a child’s or teen’s behaviour, and build approaches that feel calmer and more consistent.
How family sessions work
Depending on what’s going on, we might meet as a whole family, in smaller groups, or one-on-one for part of the work. Sessions can happen at my office in Coldbrook, online, or in your home, which can make it easier for everyone to take part.
